ADF (Ár nDraíocht Féin, Modern Irish for "Our own Druidry") is a Neo-Pagan religious tradition. Devoted to the scholarly and responsible development of a modern, rich tradition, ADF has over a thousand members around the world and is growing all the time. The first part of ADF's religious education is called the "Dedicant Program", a year-long introduction to ADF cosmology, theology and praxis. One requirement of the Dedicant Program is complete documentation of the student's progress, including various essays and a journal. This journal contains the work I have done in the Dedicant Program to date, which I started at Midsummer 2007.
About me: I'm a 31-year old guy who lives in Philadelphia with his partner of 7 years. I'm originally from northern Arizona, and between there and Philly I spent three years in Cleveland, where I started attending rituals hosted by Stone Creed Grove, ADF, and became an active Grove member. After I met my partnerbearon68, I moved here to southeastern Pennsylvania, and, for a variety of reasons, became an extremely pagan-influenced Episcopalian. Recently, however, I decided to embrace my Pagan practice again and rejoined ADF.
My academic background is in Religious Studies (BA, University of Pennsylvania, 2006) but the DP is more experiential and a lot more fun than anything I studied in school. :)
